Audemars Piguet Battles Global Warming

Audemars Piguet unveils its latest collaboration as a founding member of the business Conservation Circle (C3) of Patagonia Sur, which is dedicated to the conservation that protects and manages ecologically valuable ecosystems in the Chilean Patagonia.

Twenty years ago, the manufacture created the Audemars Piguet Foundation with an initial goal to contribute towards the conservation of forests round the world within the framework of environmental protection and raising awareness among youth.

Audemars Piguet's membership in C3 will further Patagonia Sur's Reforestation and Biodiversity Project by adding 14 acres to the 600 acres that Patagonia Sur has already reforested and conserved. Audemars Piguet's forest will be planted with more than 7,500 native-species trees, which will remove 2,500 tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

To launch the partnership, during the current edition of the Salon Internacional de Alta Relojeria, Audemars Piguet will offset the carbon emissions generated by the presence and production of their green-friendly suite as well as plant three trees per visitor. To further Audemars Piguet's commitment to environmental conservation, the carbon emissions generated by the New York and Bal Harbour Boutiques will be offset also for the duration of the partnership.
